October Member Update

Oct 1
5 min read

We hope everyone has had a smooth transition getting your member account set up with Lightspeed and Chronogolf!

As a reminder, beginning today (October 1st), all tee times will be booked through Chronogolf. The Silo Point Country Club app and Website is updated to reflect the changes.

Please read below for information on the upcoming change to our member billing system as well.

After we send out the September statements tomorrow (October 2nd), all current member account balances in Club Prophet will be transferred over to your Chronogolf "House Account". Chronogolf will reflect your current account balance and will be used for member billing and account management going forward.

Please make sure you have a bank account linked or a credit card saved to your Chronogolf account so that you are set up for future member billing and payments. You will still be able to pay off your balance by cash or check in the Golf Shop or by mailing a check.

September Statement Payment

Please note that your September statement balance will transfer to Cronogolf, and payment will need to be made through your Cronogolf account.

From Tee To Green

Hello Members!

We are officially moving into fall here at Silo Point, and with the cooler temperatures comes a significant surge of growth throughout the golf course. Our maintenance team continues to mow and maintain all areas of the property whenever the weather and course conditions allow. We have been working diligently to address the debris and cleanup throughout the course, particularly from the Nor’easter that came through this past weekend.

We have now completed the verticutting process on our fairways and tees, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while this work was being completed. This encourages stronger and healthier turf growth, and allows for improved air, water, and nutrient movement into the soil moving into our Fall golf season. We are very pleased with how the fairways and tees have responded, and they are healing in nicely.

We also want to thank everyone for their patience during our Greens Aeration at the beginning of the month. We were very pleased with how quickly the greens healed following aeration and appreciate everyone’s cooperation in allowing our team to complete this necessary work. The greens have responded very well, and we are looking forward to seeing the continued benefits throughout the fall and into next season.

With colder weather around the corner, we want to remind everyone of the potential for frost in the near future. Please make sure to have your notifications turned on for the Silo Point Country Club app, as we will be sending Frost Delay communications on there for day of updates.

We are looking forward to some beautiful fall days ahead and hope everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the course during one of the best times of the year. We are grateful for the continued support of our membership as our maintenance team works to keep Silo Point in the best condition possible!

As always, thank you.

Silo Point Maintenance Staff

Cart Traffic Reminder

Following last weekend's Nor' Easter, please remember to follow Cart Path Only and Rough Only restrictions when they are in place. Keep carts away from green surrounds, sensitive turf areas, and any sections marked with signs and rope for traffic direction. These restrictions are in place to reduce wear and protect sensitive areas. Your cooperation helps us maintain healthier turf and better playing conditions for everyone throughout the rest of the season.

Please Repair Your Ball Marks

We ask that golfers repair their own ball marks, along with any additional marks they may see nearby. Taking a few extra seconds to repair a ball mark makes a significant difference in maintaining smooth putting surfaces for everyone.

You can view this video from the USGA's website to see the proper way to fix a Ball Mark: Ball Mark Repair Done Right

Replace Divots

Please take a moment to fill your divots, especially on tees and fairways. Proper divot repair encourages faster turf recovery and provides better playing conditions!

Rake Bunkers

After playing from a bunker, please rake the area and leave it in good condition for the next golfer. Consistently maintained bunkers create a fair and enjoyable experience for all.

Your attention to these small details helps our maintenance staff keep the golf course in great condition for all members and guests.

Silo Cup 2026

The Silo Cup came down to an exciting finish with two competitive semifinal matches setting the stage for the championship.

In the semifinals:

Bruce Hastings and Mark Lowe defeated Bob Serio and John Anglace, 2 Up, to advance to the final.

Wally Brooks and David Delotto earned their spot in the championship match with a 2 Up victory over Michael Healy and Wayne Thompson.

The final was another closely contested match, with Bruce Hastings and Mark Lowe coming out on top 2 & 1 over Wally Brooks and David Delotto to capture the Silo Cup.

Congratulations to Bruce and Mark on a great finish, and thank you to all of the teams who competed and made this year long event a success!

Silo Point Country Club Interclub Finals

Congratulations to our women on an outstanding run to the CWGA Cup! Silo Point defeated Silvermine in the final match at Innis Arden to capture the Regional CWGA Cup. A great team effort and an exciting accomplishment for the club! This is the second year in a row they took the win!
